Participate in research about Alzheimer's Disease
Tell us what's important to you as someone living with Alzheimer's Disease or as a carer.
Your participation is valuable in exploring the treatment preferences for people living with Alzheimer's and those who care for those living with Alzheimer's. This information will help researchers understand what is important to you when it comes to treatment decisions and how treatment experiences could potentially be improved. You will receive an electronic gift card in recognition of your time and contribution to this research.
Who can participate:
We are looking for people over 18 years of age who:
- Are currently caring for someone diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's
- Are diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's Disease
What's Involved:
Eligible participants can complete the 25 minute online survey using their computer or tablet device (at least 10 inch screen size).

What does the study involve for participants?
+
Eligible participants can complete the 25 minute online survey using their computer or tablet device (at least 10 inch screen size).
04
What is the purpose of this study?
+
Community and Patient Preference Research (CaPPRe), an independent research organisation, is conducting research with people who are for someone living with mild Alzheimer's Disease and with people who have been diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's Disease.
05
What is Alzheimer's Disease?
+
Alzheimer's disease is a progressive neurological disorder that affects memory, thinking, and behavior. It is the most common cause of dementia, characterized by a decline in cognitive abilities, making it difficult for individuals to carry out daily activities. The disease involves the buildup of abnormal proteins in the brain, leading to the death of brain cells. Early symptoms typically include memory loss and confusion, which worsen over time, affecting a person’s ability to communicate and perform tasks. Although there is no cure, treatments aim to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
06
Why is this study important?
+
This study is important as it aims to better understand the treatment preferences of both individuals living with mild Alzheimer’s Disease and their caregivers. By exploring what matters most to them, the research will help improve treatment options and care strategies, ensuring they are more personalised and patient-centred. The findings could lead to better outcomes and quality of life for those affected by Alzheimer’s, while also guiding future healthcare policies.
