Study Guide
01
Gut Health Study
-
Reimbursement
$8,600
Stay Duration
4 nights
Study Length:
360 days
What is the study about?
Inflammatory diseases like Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease cause the immune system to attack itself, leading to inflammation and tissue damage. Current treatments may not fully address the underlying biological processes contributing to these symptoms.
Volunteer Requirements:
- Aged 18-65 years old
- No significant medical history
- Not taking any prescription medication (except for contraception)
- Non-smoker or smoking less than 5 cigarettes per week and willing to pause smoking for the duration of the trial.
02
Immune-Medicated Disease Study
+
$7,850
Stay Duration:
2x5 night inpatient stay
Study Length:
72 days
What is the study about?
We are conducting a clinical trial to evaluate a potential new treatment for immune-mediated diseases in healthy participants. This study aims to assess the safety, tolerability, and how the body absorbs and processes the potential new treatment.
The investigational treatment is being developed to potentially help manage immune-mediated diseases by inhibiting a specific enzyme, which reduces the activity of certain immune cells. This study builds on previous data and aims to explore higher doses and the effect of food on the treatment's absorption to optimize its safety and effectiveness.
Volunteer Requirements:
- 18-60 years old
- No significant medical history
- Not taking any prescription medication (except for contraception)
- Non-smoker
- Willing to abstain from alcohol, grapefruit and certain medications.
03
Expression Study
+
Reimbursement:
$10,020
Stay Duration:
5 nights & 1 overnight stay
Study length:
85 days
What is the study about?
Autoimmune diseases can significantly impact quality of life, often requiring immunosuppressive therapies that come with serious side effects and long-term health risks. This study is evaluating a potential new treatment designed to target CD28 and OX40 pathways, aiming to regulate the immune system more precisely and effectively.
Volunteer Requirements:
- 18-55 years old
- Weight: Males: 50-110kg, Females: 40-90kg
- Not taking any prescription medication (except for contraception)
- Non-smoker or smoking less than 1 cigarettes/day, using less than 10 mg nicotine/day (including vaping or patches) and willing to pause smoking for the duration of the trial.
04
Compliment Study
+
Reimbursement:
$11,490
Stay Duration:
1x9 nights, 2x2 nights & 1x5 nights
Study Length:
99 days
What is the study about?
This study is evaluating a new potential treatment for complement-mediated diseases. The complement system is a part of our immune system that helps protect us from infections. This study aims to assess the safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics (PK) of multiple subcutaneous (SC) doses in healthy participants. Currently, there are limited approved treatment options for diseases like Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) and other complement-mediated diseases.
The study will measure how the medication moves and works in the body, including certain blood levels and effects. This initial phase is crucial before testing in individuals with these diseases. The drug has been tested before, and this study will use doses from that previous research.
Volunteer Requirements:
- 18-55 years old
- Not taking any prescription medication (except for contraception)
- Non-smoker or smoking less than 10 cigarettes per week and willing to pause smoking for the duration of the trial.
