What is the purpose of this study?

+

CaPPRe is working on behalf of a pharmaceutical company to conduct an online survey with people diagnosed with ovarian cancer in Australia to understand what treatment goals are important to people. The pharmaceutical company is not involved in conducting the research or analysing the results.

CaPPRe are specialists in 'preference research' which examines what people living with certain health conditions value and prioritise in treatments.

The results of the research may be used to support submissions that aim to expand access to new treatments in ovarian cancer and may also inform the development of new products and services in the future.

05

What is Ovarian Cancer?

+

Ovarian cancer is a type of cancer that begins in the ovaries, the female reproductive glands responsible for producing eggs and hormones like estrogen and progesterone. It often goes undetected in its early stages because symptoms can be vague or easily mistaken for other common conditions, such as bloating, abdominal discomfort, or changes in bowel habits. As a result, ovarian cancer is frequently diagnosed at a more advanced stage, which can make it more difficult to treat.
